The institute is entrusted by the National Key Laboratory on Alternation, Control and Treatment of CFC Gas and the National Engineering Technology Center of ODS Alternatives. It is the domestic scientific research institution that first developed ODS alternatives, which has the most complete varieties and the strongest development capability.
They have completed a number of scientific and technological research projects of the nation and many projects at provincial and ministerial levels, developed 17 alternatives successively, and 11 of which realized industrialization.
They participated in the international ozone layer protection campaign and the formulation of the “12th Five-Year Plan” and “13th Five-Year Plan” of the nation for fluorine chemical industry. It has also established the National Commission on CFC Gas Standard and the Working Panel on Standard of Mixed Refrigerant.
